Is anyone as pumped for these as I am?
If anyone didn't know, Dead Rising 1, 2, and Off the Record are coming out on PS4 and XBONE. DR1 is also coming out on PC for the first time. This is all coming out on September 13th.
I was a huuuge fan of DR1, and DR2 is really fun on co-op. I'm gonna be nerding out hardcore here in a couple weeks.

I have all of them (except the first one of course). So this didn't excite me as much as it should have. I'll probably get Dead Rising on a steam sale or something. Just because of how overpowered the mannequin torso was.
Tanner do you have an Xbox One? I need someone to play the new Dead Rising with.

I really loved the first DR but the sequel was too self aware for me as odd as that sounds in a zombie game where you can put funny hats on zombies and blast them with a mega buster. But, at least the first game's narrative at least prenteded to act like it was a serious event and tried to make you care for other people's lives. The sequel however threw that out the window during the first 5 minutes of the game. Idk... The disconnect with how horrible and tragic the events of the first game were with how silly and downright laughable the events of the second game were really drew me out of the experience.
The third game was better to me, but not enough to warrant an Xbox One purchase.

Nah, no XBONE Tom. I'm not especially excited about DR4 anyway after seeing what they're doing to Frank and the gameplay. I really loved the first DR but the sequel was too self aware for me as odd as that sounds in a zombie game where you can put funny hats on zombies and blast them with a mega buster. But, at least the first game's narrative at least prenteded to act like it was a serious event and tried to make you care for other people's lives. The third game was better to me, but not enough to warrant an Xbox One purchase. Yeah, the writing in DR2 really failed to live up to DR1. I also thought everything seemed really "stiff." Like the animations and the movement. The graphics also seemed like a huge downgrade. The co-op was really fun, though.

I just waited for it to come to PC before I got Dead Rising 3. Which was honestly the best one. But now I think you need Windows 10 to play Dead Rising 4. So I'm stuck with getting it on the Xbone

Really stoked to get the chance to play Dead Rising 1 again. Was a huge fan of it way back when I had an Xbox.

The thing about Off the Record was that it was painfully obvious that they wrote all the dialogue around being too lazy to actually change the cutscenes. It was pretty awkward most of the time.

Only good cutscene/boss from off the record was Chuck

Just because it's fun to see such a cool dad like Chuck could even be a psychopath. If they pulled that with Frank it wouldn't be as cool since it would just be an old man version of that one photographer from the first game, just less jump kicks

Absolutely! DR1 was definitely the best game of that entire generation for me when it comes to a game being fun purely on it's own merits. I still have my 360 copy though and if they haven't bothered un-spasticating the survivor AI I don't see any reason to get it again. And something tells me they wont bother because that sounds a bit too much like hard work. But if they have!! !

I wonder if they fixed that bug where the game breaks if you go into the food court on the seventh day or whatever on Infinity mode
